One could not imagine the amount of salves, balms, bandages, and wrappings we have tried to keep our dog from getting at her legs. We even tried using socks held on with wire ties. All of it was a pain and a mess. In the spring she gets allergies and develops hot spots on her legs that she’ll chew raw. It can literally take less than an hour to go from nothing to a large gash on her leg. This stuff wraps around her leg like a ace bandage and had some sort of space-age adhesive that only sticks to itself. Just wrap it around once and cut it to length. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to reuse it; that hasn’t been a concern because it sticks to itself so well I can’t find the end to get it unwrapped so I just cut it off. Now at the first sign of trouble we put a little Neosporin on the wound and give it a wrap.
